The promotion platform lets most of these configurations be mixed and applied to any offer, so you can run different promotion shapes and find what works for your customers and your business model.
Don’t stack too many limits on one offer. Complex combinations make it hard for a customer to understand what the discount is and how it was calculated.

Product-level offers

The discount applies to the product that qualifies for the promotion.

Basket-level offers

The discount applies to the entire basket if the rules are met.

Basket Reward

One or more items discounted or free once the basket value passes a threshold.

Mix & Match

Discounts for buying two or more products together. Mix & Match Total Price sets one price for several items bought together in given quantities — a daily menu of a main meal, a snack and a drink for 8,oramovienightof2bagsofchipsand4drinksfor8, or a movie night of 2 bags of chips and 4 drinks for 6.
Buy X get 1 free is best built as Mix & Match — buy 2 Coca-Cola, get 1 Coca-Cola free. It can also be done as a simple product offer.

Quantity Tier (buy more, pay less)

Applied each time a defined quantity is reached; multiple steps are available.

Threshold Discount

A discount applied to every n-th item once a quantity threshold is reached.
Two things to resolve before this page ships.
  1. Availability is unstated. The source table marked Product and Basket offers as Available and everything from Basket Reward onwards as “WL app support in January 2026” — a date now in the past. Each type needs re-checking against what actually shipped before the status is restated here.
  2. Basket Tier (TotalStep) is missing. The discount type exists in the product but appears in no page of the current wiki, so there was nothing to migrate. It needs writing from scratch.
Migration note. Restructured from Offers > Offer examples. The source was a single 30-row table with merged cells; it is split by offer level here so each shape can be linked to directly.
